New Law 71 provides incentive plan for property tax payments and creates a mandatory registry for all real estate property in Puerto Rico

For all of you who have pending debts related with the CRIM in Puerto Rico, now Law 71 provides for the forgiveness of 100% of the interests, charges and penalties accumulated for property taxes owed.
Also, if you have a property in Puerto Rico which have not been yet assessed and you are not currently paying any property taxes, this law requires the registry of all real estate property not yet assessed. Commercial and industrial properties with improvements not yet assessed by the CRIM must also be registered.
